About Off The Saddle Horn

Off The Saddle Horn is a media platform dedicated to supporting and spotlighting Canadian breakaway roping. Built from a passion for the sport and the athletes behind it, our mission is simple: to give breakaway ropers across Canada a place to be seen, celebrated, and supported as the sport continues to grow.

As one of rodeo’s fastest rising events, breakaway roping is carving out its own space in the industry, and the women competing in it are driving that momentum forward. Off The Saddle Horn exists to help document that rise through storytelling, athlete features, event highlights, and industry coverage that reflects the depth of the sport both inside and outside the arena.

We are committed to covering breakaway roping at every level across the country, from professional rodeos to amateur associations, jackpots, collegiate competition, and futurities. We believe every run, every milestone, and every stage of competition plays a role in shaping the future of the sport in Canada, and each deserves recognition.

We believe breakaway is about more than fast times. It is about the early mornings, practice pens, miles hauled, and the partnerships built between horse and rider. From rising competitors to seasoned professionals, every story contributes to the momentum of Canadian breakaway, and we are proud to provide a platform where those stories can be shared.

Our goal is not only to cover the sport, but to actively support the community within it by promoting rodeos and jackpots, celebrating milestones and wins, and creating visibility for athletes at every stage of their journey. As breakaway roping continues to expand across Canada, the need for dedicated media and advocacy grows alongside it.

Off The Saddle Horn is committed to elevating athlete recognition, increasing exposure for the sport, and helping push Canadian breakaway forward one story at a time. Whether you are an athlete, supporter, sponsor, or fan, you are part of this movement, and we are proud to showcase the strength and future of breakaway roping across the country.
